About Nugen
NuGen is a UK nuclear company owned by GDF SUEZ and IBERDROLA.
In October 2009 NuGen secured an option to purchase land on the West Cumbrian Coast from the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority on which it aims to build a new nuclear power station of up to 3.6GW capacity. NuGen has named its project, Moorside.
One of NuGen’s greatest strengths is that it can draw upon the experience, resources and skills of two very well established and respected energy companies that have experience of operating and delivering nuclear - as well as other – generation plants across Europe.
